Driving on the Left

Bob O’Sullivan’s article makes interesting reading but is not very accurate. It has been my experience and the experience of our clients that the opposite is true concerning the direction of the drift of the car. Most Americans will find themselves moving too far to the left, resulting in running over curbs and blowing out tires. The perception is different from the right side, and most Americans simply are afraid to take their share of the road, especially if it is narrow.

Second, the British roads are marked in miles per hour and not in kilometers, as they are on the Continent. In fact, most limits are 60 m.p.h. for single roads and 70 m.p.h. on motorways. The speedometers are in miles per hour as in this country.
