Country singer Johnny Cash was “feeling much better” after becoming ill during a weekend performance in Council Bluffs, Iowa, but will remain at a hospital for observation until today or Tuesday, his manager said. Merv Riepe, Mercy Hospital spokesman, said Cash, who was admitted Saturday night, was suffering from exhaustion and an irregular heartbeat. The 55-year-old singer was in stable condition, sitting up and receiving fluids in the cardiac-care unit, Riepe said.
