Reagan’s Role in Iran-Contra
We all know about the little boy caught with his hands in the cookie jar who keeps repeating, I didn’t do it! I didn’t do it! I didn’t do it!--childishly hoping that if he denies it often enough it somehow will all go away and he won’t be held accountable. Eventually, he grows up, matures emotionally, and discovers that it is ridiculous to deny something in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
At 76, Ronald Reagan keeps saying, I didn’t know! I didn’t know! I didn’t know!--childishly hoping like that immature child that it will all go away.
I’m sure the psychiatrists have weighty terminology for this kind of behavior, but what a frightening mentality in a man who is supposed to be President of the United States.
