Two members of South Korea’s major opposition party refused to appear for questioning on the party’s stand on reunification with North Korea. State prosecutors summoned two members of the Reunification Democratic Party to determine if the party’s charter violates a South Korean law that prohibits all pro-Communist activities. However, Lee Hyup, a close associate of leading dissident Kim Dae Jung, and Kim Kyong Doo refused to comply. Prosecutors said the two men would be detained if the2032165743for questioning.
