Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam always seemed like a promising group, but no one expected their new LP, “Spanish Fly,” to be an instant smash. In just four weeks, it has climbed to No. 15 on the Billboard magazine pop chart. The album is getting a major boost from the single, “Head to Toe,” which jumped from No. 15 to No. 6--a staggering leap within the Top 20 where moves are usually one-to-four notches. The other two red-hot albums are the Ozzy Osbourne/Randy Rhoads live album, “Tribute” (No. 8), and Barbra Streisand’s “One Voice” (No. 10). Chris de Burgh is another artist who came from out of the blue to have a smash hit. His fast-rising “Into the Light” album is No. 33. He also has a big hit single, “The Lady in Red” (No. 3). U2’s “The Joshua Tree” is the No. 1 album for the sixth week and is now double platinum (two million copies sold). The group also has the No. 1 single, “With or Without You,” which has been on top for three weeks.
