The City track semifinals, which includes sprinter Quincy Watts of defending state champion Taft High School of Woodland Hills, will be held today at Birmingham High in Van Nuys. Field events start at 2:30 p.m., running events at 4:30.
The top four in running events and the top eight from field events will advance to next week’s finals also at Birmingham.
Watts, coming off an impressive showing last Saturday at the Pepsi Invitational, has the top time in the nation in the 100 meters and the third best in the 200.
