Pomona Baseball Coach Deserving of Recognition

We very much appreciate Tracy Dodds’ May 12 article on Cal Poly Pomona baseball coach John Scolinos (“An Old-Fashioned Kind of Coach”). Scolinos, as the winningest active baseball coach, is certainly deserving of the recognition. He has earned it in a long and distinguished career.

We would, however, like to set the record straight that Cal Poly is not a “little campus” but one of the largest (1,500 acres) in the California State University with 18,000 students and 2,500 faculty and staff.
