Purdue’s Rod Woodson will not be allowed to compete in this year’s Big Ten track and field championships, nor the NCAA meet, because he failed to disclose a contract he signed with a professional agent.
Woodson, a hurdler and sprinter, also failed to disclose that he received money from the agent, conference Commissioner Wayne Duke said.
Big Ten spokesman Dennis LaBissoniere said he did not know the agent’s name or the amount of money Woodson allegedly received.
Woodson entered into the contract in May, 1986, but did not disclose it on forms that are completed by all Big Ten student-athletes each year, Duke said.
