I can’t believe that I almost missed the funniest movie of the year because of what some blind critics said. I don’t care what Roger Ebert and Rex Reed and all the rest say, I loved “Ishtar.”
I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. Hoffman, Beatty and May are brilliant and silly and just plain crazy. Perhaps after I see it the second or third time I’ll be able to figure out what all those critics didn’t like.
Until then, I am hoping that they release an album with the songs from “Ishtar.”
