It was amusing to see former District Attorney Robert Philibosian, obviously distressed at his own foundering political career, resorting to such pettiness in his letter to The Times (May 11) by taking a potshot at John Van de Kamp, by far the best attorney general we have ever had in California.
Philibosian’s absurd devotion to Gov. George Deukmejian calls to mind Conrad’s cartoon several years ago depicting a whimpering George Bush with his arms wrapped around President Reagan’s legs.
