Don Nelson, who quit as coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, says he won’t make a decision on a new job until Golden State Warriors’ owner Jim Fitzgerald returns from a 10-day trip to Ireland.
Fitzgerald, former Bucks owner and a close friend of Nelson’s, said before departing Saturday that he would make every effort to sign Nelson as general manager.
Nelson quit because of problems with the Bucks’ owner, Herbert Kohl.
