Manhattan Beach : Tree Ordinance Committee
- Share via
The City Council approved a recommendation to establish a tree ordinance committee.
The five-member committee--to be selected from interested applicants--will include three residents, one Chamber of Commerce representative and one professional landscape architect or arborist. The group will assess the need for an ordinance regulating the installation and removal of trees on private property.
Committee members will have 90 days to make recommendations to the council.
Consideration of a tree ordinance was prompted by concerns expressed at public hearings before the Planning Commission last month.
