El Monte : Rental Housing Grant

The U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded El Monte a $123,000 grant to rehabilitate rental housing where tenants have incomes at or below the poverty level. The program offers loans to landlords so that they can provide cleaner, safer housing without raising rents.
