JAMMU, India — At least 30 people have died over the last three days as snow, rain and cold swept across north India, officials said Monday.
Eight people died when their house collapsed Monday and more than 2,000 vehicles were trapped by snow and landslides on the single road that links the Kashmir Valley to the rest of India, the officials said.
Three feet of snow covered the runway at Srinagar, forcing the cancellation of all flights there for the third day.
