TUSTIN : Columbus School to Receive Computer
- Share via
He who collects the most receipts wins. At least that’s the way it worked at Columbus Tustin Middle School.
Columbus is the first school in Orange County to win an Apple computer by collecting Vons grocery store register receipts in a program called “Apples for the Students.”
The program was launched in September to provide free computer hardware, software and other equipment to schools.
Columbus Tustin Principal Bob Boies will be presented with the computer next week in a ceremony that will include music by the school band, songs by a choral group and a skit titled “Apple Rap.”
