HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Quartz Hill Prevails in 2 Overtimes, 63-61

Quartz Hill High center Cyril Franklin hit a nine-foot jump shot from the key with nine seconds left in the second overtime to lift the Rebels to a come-from-behind, 63-61, Golden League victory over Saugus on Tuesday night at Saugus High.
Franklin’s shot capped a comeback in which Quartz Hill (13-3, 2-0) overcame a seven-point fourth-quarter deficit. The Rebels were granted new life by Chris Young’s three-point shot that tied the score, 59-59, with two seconds left and forced overtime.
“My heart’s all right, but my head’s a little hot,” Quartz Hill Coach Don Moore said amid his celebrating players.
