Six local singers have been named to the 1991 Opera Pacific Apprentice Artists Program. They are Laurel Boyd, 26, of Dana Point, who will sing in the chorus; Jonelle Goddard, 31, Costa Mesa, who will sing Kate Pinkerton in “Madama Butterfly” and in the chorus in Bizet’s “Les Pecheurs de Perles” and Verdi’s “Un Ballo in Maschera”; Lori Engle, 31, North Hollywood, chorus; Carter Scott, 27, Irvine, chorus; David St. Jude Sabella, 25, Hollywood, chorus, and Ralph Cato, 34, Los Angeles, chorus.
