UC Irvine Women End Big West Slide

After nearly two years and 25 games, the UC Irvine women’s basketball team has a victory in the Big West Conference.
The Anteaters broke open a close game midway through the second half and cruised to a 63-47 victory over San Jose State Monday at San Jose. It marks Irvine’s first conference victory since Feb. 25, 1989. That game was also against San Jose State.
