Caltrans will close the westbound La Jolla Village Drive on-ramp leading to southbound Interstate 5 from Jan. 21 to Feb. 1.
Commuters can use the Nobel Drive on-ramp, which also connects with southbound I-5 as an alternate route.
The closure is required to complete a $4.2-million improvement and widening of both the La Jolla Village Drive on- and off-ramps, Caltrans spokeswoman Cathy Gaunt said.
The project is expected to be completed by December, she said.
