GIRLS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Witte Scores 14; Santa Margarita Gets Past Rosary

Sarah Witte scored 14 points and Santa Margarita High School rallied to defeat Rosary, 40-38, in an Angelus League game Friday.
Karen Moran, Jena Ricker and Leslie Nolan each scored eight points for Santa Margarita.
Santa Margarita (2-10, 1-3) trailed, 24-16, at halftime and came back to win. In the Garden Grove League:
Los Amigos 54, La Quinta 47--May Ly scored 24 points and 12 assists and Linda Nguyen scored 10 points for Los Amigos (6-9, 3-4).
Santiago 47, Bolsa Grande 39--America Robledo scored 15 points to lead Santiago (9-7, 4-3).
Rancho Alamitos 63, Pacifica 42--Shannon James scored 19 points and Anita Stecker added 12 for visiting Rancho Alamitos (17-0, 7-0). Jennifer Surface had 11 for Pacifica (4-3 in league).
Kennedy 66, Garden Grove 51--Valerie Ruiz scored 32 points and had six assists and six steals for visiting Kennedy (11-5, 4-3).
