Knowing the history of York, England, I was shocked to see Judith Morgan describing her visit there as “strolling through the friendly streets of York.”
Doesn’t she know that Clifford’s Tower was the scene of the massacre of the city’s Jews in 1190? The final blow is her statement that “York is proud of her past.”
