Westside Pavilion Bridge Work to Start

Construction is scheduled to start Monday on the bridge over Westwood Boulevard connecting the Westside Pavilion with an expansion of the shopping center across the street.
A short segment of Westwood Boulevard at the construction site will be closed to traffic all week.
The bridge is designed to link the two segments of the shopping center at the rooftop level and make it possible for pedestrians and cars to cross over without returning to surface streets.
The mall will remain open, as will all entrances to it. The short closed section of Westwood Boulevard is scheduled to reopen next weekend. The target date for completion of the bridge and the rest of the mall expansion is September.
