SHORT TAKES : Strait, Mattea, Black to Star

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Country stars George Strait, Kathy Mattea and Clint Black will be hosts of the 26th annual Academy of Country Music Awards show to be telecast live April 24 from Los Angeles.
Strait is the academy’s reigning Entertainer of the Year. Black and Mattea were the male and female top vocalists.
The show, honoring the elite in country music, will be broadcast by NBC from the Universal Amphitheatre. The executive producer is Dick Clark.
