Concorde Celebrates 15 Years in Service: The Anglo-French Concorde, the world’s only supersonic airliner, celebrated 15 years of commercial service during which it has carried nearly 2.5 million passengers. British Aerospace and Aerospatiale of France said the aircraft had clocked more than 150,000 flying hours, including 100,000 at supersonic speeds, since first entering commercial service in 1976. British Airways operates a fleet of seven Concordes on routes to New York, Washington and Barbados. Air France operates daily services between Paris and New York.
