Bush Confers With Italy’s Chief on War

ROME — President Bush told Italy’s prime minister Monday that other Middle East problems will have to be solved once Iraq is ousted from Kuwait, an Italian government spokesman said.
Bush was speaking during a 30-minute phone call to Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti to brief him on developments in the Gulf War, spokesman Pio Mastrobuoni added.
“Once Kuwait is liberated, a solution will have to be found to the other two Middle East crises, the Palestinian and the Lebanese,” he quoted Bush as saying.
