HOUSTON — A hearing scheduled for today on felony charges that Boston Red Sox pitcher Roger Clemens and his brother assaulted a Houston police officer over the weekend was put off until Feb. 18.
Neither Clemens nor his brother, Gary, 39, was in the courtroom of State District Judge A. D. Azios for the probable cause hearing as their attorney, Mike Ramsey, requested the delay.
The pair remain free on $2,000 bond set after they were arrested for aggravated assault during a Saturday morning disturbance at a Houston nightclub known as Bayou Mama’s.
