Delta Air Lines: The Atlanta-based carrier reported a fourth-quarter loss of $207.8 million, contrasted with a $64.2-million profit in the year-ago period. Revenue rose 4% to $2.13 billion. For the year, Delta lost $154 million, against a profit of $473.2 million the year before. Revenue was up 2% to $8.7 billion. The firm cited the weak economy, skyrocketing fuel costs and “unreasonably low domestic fares and promotions initiated by faltering competitors.”
