Collins Commits to SDSU

Curt Collins, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound tight end from Bakersfield High School, has orally committed to play football at San Diego State next season, according to Bakersfield Coach Pat Preston.
“He’s a good blocker and got good speed,” Preston said. “The reservation some schools had with him was his weight, but he’s tall enough and can put that on.”
While Collins has been at Bakersfield, the school has put together a 39-game winning streak--longest in the state. Colorado State, Oregon and Nevada Las Vegas also heavily recruited Collins.
