Iraqi Missiles Attack Israel

With the inevitable defeat of Iraq, the United States will soon have a historic opportunity to direct the realignment of political forces in the Middle East. At this time the United States and its Arab allies must begin a dialogue with the goal of establishing a civilian Palestinian state.
Israel’s concerns for lasting security must be well met. However, the desire of some Israelis for a “Big Israel” must be strongly opposed.
It is our fervent hope that the ultimate resolution of this war will see a lasting peace in the Middle East. Fundamental to that peace will be the creation of a Palestinian state that meets the legitimate desires of Palestinian civilians.
