ANAHEIM : 50 Support Troops at Radio Station
- Share via
About 50 people waving flags and signs rallied Friday afternoon outside a local radio station in a demonstration supporting U.S. troops in the Persian Gulf War.
A spokesman for KEZY radio, the rock station that organized the event, said that beginning at noon, hundreds of people had come to the station’s offices at 1190 E. Ball Road, where 450 flags were distributed. Passing autos and trucks honked as demonstrators waved signs saying, “Support Our Troops.”
The demonstrators’ numbers had begun to dwindle by about 4 p.m., although they still managed to elicit noisy responses from passing traffic on the busy thoroughfare at the intersection of East Street.
