Oil: Crude drifted down 36 cents to $21.35 a barrel. For the week, oil gained $2.10.
Dow Industrials: The average closed up 16.34 at 2,659.41, aided by hopes that the U.S. economy has bottomed but tempered by more Scud attacks on Israel and Saudi Arabia.
Credit Markets: Bond prices fell after the government reported the gross national product dropped 2.1% in the last quarter, far less than analysts had expected.
Metals: Gold rose $2.60 to $376.10 an ounce in a late rally prompted in part by news of new missile attacks on Israel and Saudi Arabia.
Currency: The dollar was lifted by news of the better than expected GNP report.
