Think you’d look good in Nikki Sixx’s leather jacket from the last Motley Crue tour? Then you should tune in for KNAC-FM’s second annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Auction. The action unfolds Saturday and next Sunday, when listeners can bid for those items--and more--with all proceeds going to Children of the Night, a local organization that aids teen runaways and prostitutes. KNAC staffers say the station will also have lower-priced items on sale in the station lobby over the weekend. . . . And kudos to KLOS-FM, which has offered the best Persian Gulf news coverage of L.A.’s rock stations, supplying hourly updates and timely bulletins as events warranted, with particularly cogent reportage by newsman Chuck Moshantz.
