Gov. Wilson’s Proposed Budget Cuts

Once again, we have seen a political candidate tout himself as an “education candidate,” yet when elected, he failed to put the money where his mouth was.
The state has to take the lead in providing more money for teachers’ salaries and expansion of the physical plants for local school districts. These are areas of critical needs for establishing the necessary foundation to have a sound educational system statewide. I understand the fiscal constraints we are presently enduring. Still, these problems were evident when the governor was campaigning.
I just want him to keep this one promise.
