How Long Will Our Drive-Ins Survive?

Your article on the demise of the Studio Drive-In (Times, Jan. 10) brought back memories. The Gilmore, the Los Feliz and the Studio were only three of the many drive-in theaters I visited. Unless you snuck in another couple in the trunk of your car, you just weren’t a normal teen-ager in the ‘50s. But times have changed, and I wonder how long it will take for all remaining drive-in theaters to close. When will we witness The Last Picture Show?
