ITT Unit Gets $115-Million Radar Gear Contract

ITT Gilfillan in Van Nuys said it was awarded two Defense Department contracts totaling $115 million for radar equipment.
The company, a unit of ITT Corp., said the Air Force awarded one contract totaling $50 million for air traffic control radars. The systems will be used by a Pacific Rim nation under a foreign military sale, the company said.
Also, the Navy awarded a $65-million contract for continued production of a shipboard air-defense radar system called the AN/SPS-48E. The system is used on cruisers, destroyers and aircraft carriers.
