A 20-year-old man was killed and three other men were injured early Saturday when a Santee party erupted in gunfire, authorities said.
The shooting occurred shortly after midnight in the 8400 block of Rumson Drive, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, which is investigating.
The attack occurred after a fight broke out at the party, during which a small group of party-goers were thrown out, the sheriff’s office said.
The group returned in a small pickup truck and fired shots from the vehicle at those at the party, authorities said.
Four men were hurt, all 20 or younger, but the only person suffering a critical wound was Asia Dunlap, 20, of Santee, authorities said. He was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he died at 1:50 p.m.
