YMCA Seeks Families in ‘Homes for Heroes’

The Armed Services YMCA is looking for volunteer families to invite returning veterans from the Persian Gulf War into their homes for a meal and possible overnight stay.
Called “Homes for Heroes,” the program aims to let local citizens personally thank returning troops with some hospitality. Interested families are asked to call the YMCA at 722-7671.
The program will be conducted on these Sundays: April 7, 14, 21, 28 and May 5. So far, 100 families have volunteered.
