Children may think that dinosaurs were born to live in boxes of sugar-packed breakfast cereals and horror movies, so the the city is offering a short weekly class for children ages 7 to 12 to show what dinosaurs were really about.
The $20 course will describe what the Earth was like when tiny and huge dinosaurs roamed and dominated the planet and describe how the dinosaurs lived and died.
The class will meet from 4 to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays from May 15 to June 5 at University Community Park in Irvine. To register, call the Community Services Department at (714) 724-6609.
