Outfielder Pete Incaviglia said he plans to file a grievance against the Texas Rangers for placing him on waivers Friday.
Incaviglia says his release was triggered by a personality conflict with Manager Bobby Valentine and the team’s desire to unload his $1.6-million salary. The Rangers say it was because he was unhappy with his role.
