Wendy’s Operator Fined Over Lie Detector Tests: The U.S. Department of Labor has fined a Kansas City-area fast-food restaurant operator $315,000, the largest such penalty involving misuse of lie detector tests, a federal official said. WH of KC, which operates 30 Wendy’s restaurants in the Kansas City area, declined comment. In many cases, WH of KC submitted employees to lie detector tests without reasonable suspicion and provided employees with insufficient notice of the tests, an official said.
