Texas A&M; Recruiting Schwarzkopf for Post

DALLAS — Army Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf is being recruited for chancellor of the Texas A&M; University System and has expressed interest in the job, according to a report published Saturday.
State Comptroller John Sharp told the Dallas Morning News the popular commander of Operation Desert Storm has been contacted about running the eight-campus system, which has been without a chancellor since December.
Schwarzkopf, 56, has said he plans to retire from the military in a few months. He has received hundreds of offers of jobs, speaking engagements and public appearances.
