Former child actor Adam Rich, who played Nicholas Bradford in the TV series “Eight is Enough,” was charged Tuesday with felony burglary for allegedly breaking into a West Hills drugstore earlier this month.
Rich, 22, entered the pharmacy to obtain drugs, Deputy Dist. Atty. Andrew Diamond said. “It appears as though an audible burglar alarm scared him off.” Rich, who is free on $5,000 bail, is scheduled to be arraigned May 1 in Van Nuys Municipal Court. He is also charged with reckless driving.
The New York City native, who is on probation for a misdemeanor drunk driving conviction, told police that he was “in pain” from shoulder surgery and needed medication, Diamond said.
