Emulex Corp., the computer-components maker, reported Tuesday that its earnings for the third fiscal quarter ended March 31 rose to $2.2 million, contrasted with a loss of $2.2 million a year earlier.
The Costa Mesa company reported that sales rose 33% to $40.5 million for the quarter, up from $30.5 million a year earlier.
Emulex officials attributed the results to an improved product line, tighter financial controls and a corporate reorganization.
