University of Alabama gymnast Gina Basile offered to give up a first place award she won because of a scoring error, but the NCAA said the mistake cannot be corrected after the fact. Basile and Missy Marlowe of Utah were declared co-winners in balance beam competition at the NCAA women’s national gymnastics championship at Tuscaloosa.
