Respite for Trees: The Building Industry Assn. of Orange County planted 100 trees at Laguna Niguel Regional Park this month to celebrate Earth Day. The builders’ group said it plans to plant a total of 500 trees in county parks this year.
With the tremendous decline in building activity that has occurred over the past eight months, this could result in a net increase in the number of trees in California.
