Gasoline Tanker Burns in Sonoma County

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. — A truck hauling two tankers loaded with gasoline jackknifed and caught fire Thursday, forcing the evacuation of scores of residents and sending smoke high into the sky above Sonoma County.
The blaze burned for more than four hours before 1,000 gallons of foam smothered the flames on busy U.S. 101. Firefighters had feared the flames might spread.
