Americom to Cooperate: Americom International Corp., an Irvine developer, said it is cooperating with a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation into possible securities law violations by an investment broker-dealer and certain unnamed companies. “We’ve not been named in the investigation,” a company spokesman said. “The SEC is investigating a broker-dealer, which handled our common shares that were traded in public.” Americom said the SEC staff “has declined to provide Americom with any information concerning the specific activities under review.” Americom has a joint venture in the Soviet Union to develop a combination hotel and business center in Moscow.
