Vatican May Issue ‘Charity’ Bond: The Vatican may issue its first bond to help finance a record deficit, but it would yield so little that it could almost be called a donation, according a Vatican official. The Vatican deficit is set to rise to $91.5 million this year, $5 million more than in 1990.
