What could be as ugly as seeing two players suffer serious knee injuries? Try the sign held aloft in Northlands Coliseum that read, “Oilers Checklist,” and had check marks next to the names of Sandstrom and Kudelski. Or the L.A. bashing by Dick Chubey in the Edmonton Sun. Sorry, Dick, but that has already been done to excess by equally unimaginative writers.
Although spring has arrived in Edmonton, it appears the brain cells of some fans, and at least one sportswriter, have yet to thaw.
