HELPING OUT: The El Toro Marines started distributing food to troops and dependents last November “to help families over the holidays,” says Lt. Col Alice Marie Joralemon, who runs the base Family Service Center. . . . Yet families kept coming in the new year, and a base spokeswoman says April looks like “a banner month” for assistance. The dramatic jump from February to March, above, is due in large part to “word getting out” about the program, she said.
